Financial institutions and other mainstream investors are beginning to enter the blockchain space due to the proliferation of transactions in cryptocurrencies and other digital assets including stablecoins and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This panel will discuss certain tax considerations of transacting in crypto and digital assets for these financial institutions and investors, including the treatment of mining and staking rewards, digital asset loans, stablecoins and NFTs, and other issues relevant to intermediaries and investors in digital assets.
